Import document automation in Ecuador

Start by assembling the file for each import: gathering documents, extracting data and flagging gaps before the DAI. Tariff classification, taxes and submission in ECUAPASS stay with your team and your customs broker.

Start now if

  • You handle dozens of imports a month
  • Commercial invoices carry many items per shipment
  • Data is keyed into spreadsheets by hand

Not yet, if

  • You import only a few times a year
  • Nobody defines which documents each shipment needs

Frequently asked questions

Does the agent submit a DAI in ECUAPASS?

This proposal is limited to document preparation and review. Submission remains with the importer or authorized customs broker under the required controls.

Can it decide a tariff classification?

It may prepare information for review, but it should not decide classification or taxes autonomously. The owner must validate treatment against official sources.

Which documents can be organized?

SENAE mentions transport documents, commercial invoices, certificates of origin where applicable and other required documents. The team defines the list for each operation; requirements differ.

Does it guarantee fewer errors or delays?

No. Automated extraction can fail and requires review. We measure corrected fields, detected missing items and review time without promising a customs outcome.
