Frequently asked questions

What is business intelligence (BI)?

The set of processes and technology that turns your company's operational data (sales, collections, stock, production) into reliable information for decisions: a pipeline that extracts, organizes and presents the numbers in up-to-date dashboards.

What do I need to start with BI in my company?

Three things: a reliable data source (your ERP, your sales system or even well-kept spreadsheets), a concrete business question worth money to answer every week, and someone responsible for data correctness. The dashboard tool comes after.

Is BI only for large companies?

No. A mid-sized company with a management system and one or two years of data already has material for useful dashboards. Project size is defined by the number of sources and data quality, not headcount.

What is the difference between BI and artificial intelligence?

BI answers what happened and what is happening (reports and dashboards on historical data). AI comes in when you want to predict what will happen or automate decisions. Solid BI is the floor: without organized data there is no AI that works.
